Stan Martinez

Meet Stan Martinez, founder and owner of Stan's Downtown Barbers. Since 1983, Stan has built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, outstanding customer service, and creating a welcoming barbershop where everyone feels like family. Stan takes pride in leading a talented team committed to quality, professionalism, and helping every client look and feel their best. Whether you're in his chair for a fresh cut, a hot towel shave, or great conversation about sports, jazz, or current events, you'll quickly see why generations of Denver clients continue to trust Stan the Man. As one longtime client put it: "Stan is the man. He has cut my hair for years, and it's perfect every time. Stan and his staff are outstanding barbers, and the shop has a great atmosphere."

Nina Martinez

Nina keeps everything running behind the scenes at Stan's Downtown Barbers. As Director of Operations, she oversees the day-to-day operations, administrative functions, strategic growth, and guest experience that help keep the business thriving. When she's not working in the family business or serving the community through our nonprofit, Faded Rose, you'll likely find her making core memories with her adorable kids, adding another plant to her ever-growing indoor jungle, or keeping her dad—Stan the Man—on his toes. Receptionist

Nene Martinez

Meet Nene, the friendly face behind the front desk and your go-to gal for all your scheduling needs! After many years working for the city, she was ready for a new adventure. When she's not helping keep the shop running smoothly, you'll probably find her teaming up with Nina to keep Stan in line (it's no easy task!). Outside of work, Nene enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Known for her warm smile, caring heart, and welcoming personality, Nene loves getting to know our clients and making everyone feel right at home.

MASTER BARBER | CHAMPA

Marcos

Were proud to have Marcos as a part of the team. He is a traditional barber, specializing in straight razor fades, beard line ups and gentlemens cuts. Marcos has been cutting hair for over 15 years now and feels that its a skilled trade he has honed well over the years. Catch him in the shop chopping it up with his clients, as he is a barber who truly enjoys a good conversation. Marcos describes himself as a laid back guy who is down to earth and friendly. As a Denver native, he loves how much the Mile High City has grown in the last couple years and welcomes a new face into his chair anytime of day...So come on by and say hello today!

Sean

Sean has been behind the chair for over 10 years, specializing in gentleman's cuts, fades, and beard grooming. Known for his easygoing personality and attention to detail, he enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life while delivering consistently quality service. When he's not in the shop, you'll find him snowboarding, playing disc golf, or exploring the outdoors. He loves Denver's mix of people, sports, and live music and lives by one simple philosophy: Look good. Feel good. Do good.

Jasmyn

We are thrilled to have Jasmyn on the team at Stans. Jasmyn has officially been barbering for 15 years and finds it the most challenging yet favorite aspect of the industry. She loves a good challenge and specializes in all things straight blade and faded. What drives her most is her clients, from the conversations they share to making them feel like a 10. Swing by Champa anytime over the weekend to let Jasmyn level up your look.

BARBER | BALLPARK

Katrina

Cutting hair since age 11, Katrina brings decades of passion to the chair, now professionally licensed and doing what she was always meant to do. Inspired during COVID while cutting hair at home, her talent quickly turned into a calling. She specializes in precision fades, classic and modern cuts, tapers, beard sculpting, and hot towel shaves, with services for kids and personalized grooming consultations. What she loves most is the connection-creating a space where clients feel seen, confident, and cared for. When Katrina is not in the shop, she's focused on faith, fitness, family, and giving back to her community.

Molly

Since graduating cosmetology school in 2012, Molly has loved helping clients feel confident while building genuine relationships along the way. She specializes in vivid color, men's scissor cuts, and lived-in textured styles. Known for her goofy personality and caring nature, Molly is also famous for her relaxing shampoos and head massages. Whether you're trying something completely new or refining your signature look, she's passionate about helping you find a style that fits you. When she's not behind the chair, you'll find her with her puppies, roller skating, kayaking, traveling, or catching live music around Denver.

Danny

Meet Danny! He claims he has been a barber since Nixon (we think it's more like 6 years or so) What inspired him to become a barber is his belief that: every single person is attractive and he wants to bring those attributes front and center. "It is time to exercise your right to look good and feel good"-says Danny. He specializes in classic gentlemen's haircuts, scissor cuts, crew cuts, Ivy League styles, and great beards. What he loves most about his job is getting to know his clients and setting them up for all things good with a custom cut, style and swagger thats all theirs. When not in the shop, Danny enjoys shopping, restaurants, theater, comedy, his dog, and airplanes. He considers himself a lifelong momma's boy and prefers silly over serious any day.

Jose

Jose has been barbering for a few years now and has been dedicated to perfecting his craft ever since. Inspired to step away from the traditional 9–5, he built his career around creativity, self-care, and genuine connection – helping clients look sharp and feel confident. He specializes in shadow fades, skin fades, taper fades, burst fades and detailed lineup work. Known for precision, seamless blends, and sharp detail, Jose makes sure every client leaves polished and refreshed. For Jose, the best part of barbering is the transformation – both in his clients and in his own growth. Every cut is a chance to level up his skills and boost someone's confidence. Outside the shop, he stays active with workouts, biking, and basketball. Most importantly, he's a proud stay-at-home dad to his daughter – a role that means everything to him.

Russ

Introducing Russ! As a close friend of Stan and the Martinez family for several decades, Russ has been a huge supporter of the barbershop for many years. He wanted to try his hand at something different career wise, so he went to barber school so he could start cutting with the best of them. He prides himself on taking his time and on his ability to provide a great business cut, fades and quality face shaves. Russ would tell you that he is spiritual, committed and has a positive outlook. A fan of skiing and football, you can talk sports...or history, music and current events. L.A. native, turned Denverite, he has called Colorado home since the 70s.

Tony

Tony is a true old school barber, with over 40 years behind the chair. He enjoys making people look and feel good about their appearance. His best work is done with more conservative, business cuts and he has a very loyal clientele. Describing himself as reserved, loyal and honest, Tony will quickly become your lifetime barber. He enjoys hiking, and as a former New Yorker, Tony enjoys the Colorado outdoors. Tony pays attention to detail and welcomes new faces in his chair!
